*note, the following post is one of those annoying public safety sort of ones. Ignore it if you want*

Next time use sunscreen and either keep the arm in the shade, or wear long sleeves.
My uncle died from skin cancer caused by years of driving with his arm out the window baking in the sun.

I know. The silly thing is half of my uni degree was pathology, so I know all about skin cancer. I forgot the sunny, and I don't actually drive with my arm on the window; it was in the car. So this is just sun coming through the window. It was totally unexpected, and I didn't notice it until the last few days :( Also, I am sorry to hear about your uncle

No problem.

I sometimes get the same thing in the car through the window (I mustn't tan quite like you do)

It's just little preventable things that people do without realising, like painting without proper masks (or thinking those paper ones will actually help) or removing asbestos etc.

Little things that if the worst happens people will think "god, if only somebody said something at the time"

Anyway, back on the topic of cars and other things!

Great to see you had a good trip!

Nah it's cool man, I know where you are coming from. I am actually generally pretty safety conscious; like I wear safety glasses pretty much the whole time working on the car for instance...

Also, hang tight if you like pretty pictures. As we speak I am processing about 900 of them from my trip, including about 20 different panoramas!!!

Small update: Car didn't want to start nicely today; it had a hectic misfire. So started it, listened to it for like 5 secs thinking WTF. Shut it down. Start again, give it a small bit of throttle, but still is real rough. Plug back in the solenoid for charcoal cannister, and it runs fine. So now it is back in the car.

you can plug the solenoid in but leave out the canister, just link the two lines together ;)

Meh, it is like 1kg or less. I'm not that anal, and the engine bay is particularly clean any way, so it remains.

Day 4 - Geelong - GOR - Geelong
Words cannot describe the awesomness of this road, for reals!! I went as far as Port Campbell (or just before), and returned by Skenes Creek Road

Day started a bit sh*t...

Unfortunately some people do not know how to move over to let others past; he was going consistently 10 below and passed maybe 10 totally acceptable (and signposted) bays but turned into none. I ended up pulling over and taking a break to let him get ahead

Day 7: Wodonga - Threadbo – Bemboka

The section of Alpine Way after the last major town before Thredbo was really nice, but definitely not a road to be silly on (so thin!!!), but it was really nice because I encountered 3 cars on the whole road and each of them pulled over almost immediately to let me past!! Never had that before!!
