Re: Okibi's SE
Glad to see I'm not the only one with clearance issues on the ducts with the abs sensors. I could only find one other reference to this on the net.
Thankfully the solution is quite simple.

Re: Okibi's SE
Clutch is starting to slip, need to check out the slave or look at upgrading the clutch. I have a "sports tuff" clutch from the red NB that might be suitable.[/quote]
Jim Berry has my old clutch (and flywheel) that he built and thinks he may be able to resurrect it without much drama... 2600lbs of clamp and held really well till I got over the +300rwhp mark. I can hit him up to see how he's getting on with it (for a possible cheaper quality) replacement if interested.

Re: Okibi's SE
There's a local clutch guru who could probably do the same but hoping the sports tuff is a simple solution. It felt good in my red car.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

The car is looking pretty mighty with the fat 15's and the vented bonnet.

Great hands Dave, 9 and 3 the whole time you were out on the track.
No resting on the gear lever - good work.
No wonder you are doing such great times in our WA championship - professional.
Hands on the wheel is the first thing rookies have to learn and yet they all think they know what they are doing.
Great clip.

Re: Okibi's SE
Must be extra fun with roof down on a track and no helmet. How does that happen?
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

Re: Okibi's SE
AASA permit, dunno how it all got approved. CAMS would have been having kittens.
It was loads of fun BUT .. there was time I had plenty of track empty ahead of me but I held back because a) it wasn't in the spirit of the event and b) I wasn't wearing a helmet so wasn't prepared to push too hard.

Re: Okibi's SE
Last 2 club events.
Motorplex Sprint
Just couldn't get close to Rod's V8, he's crazy fast around the plex.
Adam had his mavic drone there and captured some nice footage.
Barbagallo Night Autotest
Loads of fun handbrake turns and the right mix of long bursts to give the turbo an advantage.

Re: Okibi's SE
Adam has kindly been shooting some drone footage and sharing his in/on car GoPro with me so i've been adding his footage into my club motorsport videos lately.

Re: Okibi's SE
Three things that make these vids awesome:
1. Khana in a MX5
2. Khana at nighttime in an MX5
3. Khana at nighttime in an MX5 in the rain
4. Khana at nighttime in an MX5 in the rain WITH THE TOP DOWN
Looks like you have a bit too much rear end grip in the earlier videos - handbrake turns weren't locking up the tyres?
