Why does the tombstone have two holes in it?
Up near the hazard switch, the two small ones set diagonally apart?

The Trap tombstone piece replaces the stock one so the hazard light/headlight switch enclosure need to be screwed on from the reverse of the panel. Yea I was really confused when I got it. But it goes a bit like this

Ah, so there's a metal sheet to cover the front that covers them up.

Mine is a one of a kind, so it doesn't but on the ones they are making now they do!
I have just painted over it with black, so it doesn't stand out as much, I'll post a pic once I'm done sanding it back.
You can find the new style here

Re: Maki, まき, マキ
Cheers..! Would be nice to see that car of yours in person, big fan of it.
So today was another very productive day.
Phil B dropped round to roll my guards for me, now they will clear my wheels and look just plain fantastic.
Great workmanship and had a good chat.

After guard rolling I had to drop into work to partake in some barista testing/training, then back to the garage to sort out how to get a better finish on the bonnet. There was still a few imperfections in the bonnet's paint so out comes the sandpaper and we'll give it another try tomorrow. But with the help of this!
Outside

Inside

My own DIY spray booth, cost me $50 in tarps from bunnings and a roll of masking tape. Pretty excited to run it in tomorrow. The Trap Panel came out with two runs in the paint, so I spent 2hrs this evening sanding and polishing, now it looks a million dollars. I'll have to double check it in the sunlight tomorrow, but its possible that I can get away with not repainting it. Just a pic of the bonnet resting before respray.

And just for some fun, here is a pic of my wheels after I spent 5hrs on them yesterday, cleaned, polished and waxed.

Key parts to my spray booth.. (means dad got to it and added stuff)
FAN and light

Spray wall with bonnet ready for second attempt

Micro Fibre cloths to get the last minute dust and grime off. All in all it looks pretty good and I cant wait to use it!

Re: Maki, まき, マキ

I think I might be addicted to painting things green... Since this I have done my side mount number plate bracket and a tow hook. Hmmmmm
And yes they really are epic

Can I give you my TSIs for a lick of green, too, Alex?
I think it's hard to OG on a white NA.

Re: Maki, まき, マキ
Well I am looking to have a bit of a "DIY wheel care and clean up day" I have some surface scratches that I have been told will polish out with the right level of encouragement.. Also have a few friends who's wheels need some love, so might invite everyone round for a bit of a "love your wheels" day and if you really want anything painted I'd be happy to do it then.

Sweeeeet! Kitty's car has takata green wheels, too. Nice.
I'd like your professional opinion on my 3 spoke wheels, so a wheel day is a great idea.
