After driving the car for 1500ks I have gotten used to the "linear" midrange power delivery (not sure "used to" is the right term), but wanted the full noise of 16+psi in the midrange...

It shows when in higher gears wanting to surge forward without waiting for the 6k rpm where 15psi would arrive, I have wanted the full safe torque level as soon as the motor will make it...safe (gearbox) level is 280ftpd(ish) X unknown factors.

We had this type of tune a few months ago before a few new parts were added and then it made more hp but then it was decided to make the power delivery nice and smooth...smooth is gone, "comes on hard" is back!

The motor could easily make another xyz hp with a slightly leaner tune and more psi but its already near the limit of what the gearbox will reliably put up with under prolonged hard use, even though so far on the street full torque is used in judicial bursts.

Thanks to Dann and Effy for the tune, their new workshop looks great.

That's like a whole extra NA6 engines worth on top of mine. Holy guacamole.

Haha yes some in car footage or a 1/4 mile time I agree...

I've got a cheap hd cam coming which will mount to the roll bar, and when the tablet is installed an app will predict 1/4 mile... until I take a drive to the friday night drags at eastern creek etc... which will be fun as I've never done that either...

Just had a work meeting this am and afterwards leaving the car park the guy was keen for a trip around the block, which has plenty of space to hit 3rd and 4th...poor guy he had no idea what was going to happen...it gives me full body adrenaline hit, can't imagine what he felt like with no previous experience with Fast.

Then, winds had turned offshore and she can easily hold a surfboard in the passenger seat for a quick paddle at the local break; I reckon I could mount a soft bike rack to for my mtb. Very wrong but who cares.

The Nexus install parts are all here waiting for me...

Fist step was to get the nexus 7 talking to the megasquirt unit via bluetooth instead of the cable to the laptop.

Some new seats arrived, already sorted with bride rails for the NB, no headaches just bolted straight in.

Yes, you might have noticed (why would you ?) the door card inserts are now black... magic vinyl spray.

what sort of foam did you use for around the radiator,where did you get it?its a job I need to do soon.

After reading that people just use low tech stuff, I grabbed a roll of adhesive foam roll from bunnings, its to block drafts/water etc under doors etc, the rad gets to 100 or so, its not going to melt... I took the fans off, got under the car with good lighting and its a bit fiddly but with the adhesive when the rads are done up tight it works a treat.

Thanks Joshuam, the oem ones were the pic of not many options...but matches the front bar near as perfect.

Also, just remembered Ive also fitted a replacement air con compressor and had it regassed. Its the first tiem i have had aircon in this car since owning it...brilliant for super hot days, hot sun, work gear on and slow traffic... Or anytime you want to be chilled and fresh, such a contrast to the 300+hp on tap and snug bucket seats. Did i mention the bucket seats are a game changer to the driving experience in the twisties :roll: They should come factory with buckets!

Me also, would you mind showing us the supporting bits for the nexus and where you bought them ? Also where are you grabbing power for it from ?

The nexus dash install will show all data from the megasquirt via shadow dash app.

The wiring diagram is like this one...I am not using the antennae, radio stations drive me insane.

I bought all the electrical bits in the above picture on ebay australia, except the digital to analogue (dac) converter which due to costs I sourced from china. Nexus on gumtree. The amp I had and I will be using the speakers that are with the car, pretty nice 7" round things with tweeters... For me the goal is logging data from the megasquirt and seeing live engine info. The option for stereo playing my favourite music is a side plus, boring freeway trips or for the right bit of road combo...

There is a whole world of tech available for the androids...still waking up to what could be possible...
