Here is my fastest session from Lakeside January 30 2012.
Laps in 65s/66s - actually doesnt look very fast in vid. :?
And surprisingly, all done at 10psi, my wet weather and street 'map', because my boost map selector switch wire had come off
so was short a few psi and a few HP. Holding 6th gear flat to the firewall through the kink, but missing that extra boost and topping at @ 193kph
PB of 1.05.53

Looks good Stu.

I picked a couple of points where your could pick up time.

Twice you reached down to adjust your balls. Once at the start of lap 1 and again in lap 2.
Next, why run with the top down? Must be worth a second a lap with it up.

Thanks CB
I am sure there are lots of ways to go faster. But I am gradually improving.
I WASNT ADJUSTING MY BALLS they normally shrink up and hide when i go on track!
I tend to reset the seat belt tension because i move around a bit on stock SE leather seat.
Hence also why the roof is down, I cant fit my fat head with a helmet on under the roof.
A Sparco might be on the shopping list this year.

I reckon your "sunroof in a hardtop" idea might be an option.

Sh*t Stu you scared me, you must have been worried.

What did you do wrong? Grabbed 2nd instead of 4th or got off the clutch too quickly?

Great footage, as Charlie mentioned your roof down costs time but I'm tall and understand your issue. A fixed back, lower seat and a 5/6 point harness with roof up would give you a new edge!

CB - yes, i originally thought it spun because i outbraked myself and turned in while on the abs, but looking at the video it looks like i picked 2nd, which makes sense why it flicked so violently and much quicker than i could correct.
Approach speed to tha corner is 193kph for i guess, a 90kph cnr

HJT - yes, doesnt seem to matter how well i get onto the str8, i cant seem to crack higher than 193 on my scanguage
car seems to hit and aero brick wall - and i run out of str8 - a seat and harness - with roof up - would definitely see faster str8 speed and improved lap times.

Driver still has room for improvement - problem is teaching yourself has limitations- i really need some expert coaching to progress more.
I am reasonably happy with second fastest for the day from 34 drivers.

I just saw how much the gear stick kicked left & right after you took your hand off it and thought there's a lot of load on those gearbox mounts to get such a violent movement. So either 2nd or a clutch dump locking the rear wheels.

Hi Stuart,
I'm 6'2, i've bolted a sparco with a custom bracket to the floor. Next time i'm around feel free to jump in and see how you like. You are more than weclome to pinch the key and take it around the track next club day and see how you go.
You won't have to worry about 193 down the main straight.
Joys of my NA6, no power steering, no a/c, no horse power, plus no grip as the tyres have gone off in a big way.
Mines the white one, with the red roof.
