Thanks Daffy.
Update: Ran into a snag in the fittment of the AVO kit. The kit itself fits fine... or it would if it wasn't for the sheer size of the Whitline front sway bar. The swaybar is just too big for the coldside hardpipe. They won't both fit.
Decided I'd run shorter cold side piping using spare silicon and alloy piping I had laying around. This in turn meant I'd need to relocate the battery to the boot. Not a massive task just time consuming.
Doesn't look like I'll be out testing this week.

Do you need a big front bar? I’d imagine the stock car understeers? So you need a bigger rear bar and then balance it with stiffer springs?

Front and rear sway bars and endlinks already swapped out when I bought the car. So even if I wanted to go back to stock I don't have the OG units.
At least these Whiteline bars are 3 position adjustable each, so finding a balance that works for me with the Coilovers will be a bit of trial and error.

Love the idea of this build, can't wait to see what it can do. Best of luck with getting it ready for WTAC and beyond.

This is an interesting build!
How confident are you about the gearbox in a high power application? I know that fixes were introduced for the fragility in the early cars, but I haven't really followed the saga as it unfolded.
I look forward to future updates, and the on-track results.

To be honest yeah, it is in the back of my mind but it's not something I'm going to dwell on. If it goes, it goes. I've got the Version 4 box in my car so hopefully some of earlier issues are sorted (fingers crossed )

and out of interest, how much is the CF roof worth?
if I was every going to get an ND id prob go with one (im 6"2) as I couldn't justify the 50kg weight penalty of the RF #becauseracecar

Haven't had much time to work on it (away for school holidays etc), but it's finished. Alignment and re-check on the dyno on Thursday, then test and tune at Winton on Friday. Fingers crossed.

I got the 'track only' fiberglass version. The roofs themselves are reasonably priced. It's the price of shipping that really bends you over.
Update: Made it to Winton for the test and tune. As with any new car I've had some teething problems.
First session was red flagged as some poor guy in our group had a medical episode (suspected heart attack).
Next session I did 2 very slow laps and came in to give a quick check over, noticed a coolant leak. Headed back to the pits and found a coolant hose I'd not tightened properly.
Next session gave it some right out if the gates and realised I'd not put the gapped plugs in!
I only had old school plug spanners in the kit so needed to jet to REPCO for a 14 deep socket.
Gapped the plugs, missed my session. Ready to go out next session and they call lunch for an hour....
Not my day so far. Lucky I've got a few more track days of testing to come. lol

yeah postage would be killer!
out of interest how do you fit in the car? seat mounted to the floor? im 6"2 and had to do that with my NA and sparco sprint to be comfortable.
