Quality thread. Would read again.

Realised that that could be construed as sarcastic. It's not, genuinely enjoying it so far.

Thanks Marty! I write like this to entertain you guys. Glad you liked it :)

meanmx wrote:Slightly confused reading that. Reading about hot summer days and then looking at date on post and seeing July????....wtf. Anyway car looks good with the new wheels and some of the photos and locations are great. Have you been to the Thursday night meet yet? Whole heap of info from people that have been where you are including myself. Keep at it.

Oh yeah.. about that. Forgot to mention I ripped my build thread straight out of one of the other forums I participate in. Sorry about that. Which thursday meets? Braeside?

Thanks. I'm a sh*t photographer, just snap and shoot with my piece of sh*t of a phone lol!

Updates, after suddenly becoming entranced by the world of detailing I thought I'd give it a shot!

Goal: Set aside 1 day to make her look booty-full
Plan of atk: Start with a wash, clay her then lay her down with some waxxy wax wax.

Tools of le trade
Image

What's the blutac for? Well I intended to post google map printouts up in my car. Lol, sorry nope not happening.
After reading a few threads on detailing, apparently this $2.07 ball of fury can work wonders as a make-shift claybar. #becauseasian#internettoldme2doit
So I decided to try it out.

Some moar stuff I found in le garage that I had bought before.
Interior wipes and some nightshade (2beshifty huehuehue)

Image

Last night before picking up le supplies decided to go up to dande for some pondering on life issues and to look at the view! Not bad, but took a corner a little too close to the apex and might have picked up one way ticket to snap city for my front sussy hopefully nothing happened :S

But I picked up a few souveneirs; dirt, dirty and bird sh*t. YAY!

Image

Image

Also my paint is soooo faded, in my previous post, I showed you how faded my rear and front bumper was. It's creeping on to other parts of my car :(

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

And before anyone says: "But mloo, why's there always black spots on your car?" It's because my camera is being slightly troublesome and there might be snot or dirt or something else embedded on my camera lense. DEAL WIT IT. I am.. very poorly..

Ok so wash done. Misa looked like this!

Image

Image

Troll poster: "But mloo, your car feels like sh*t. 2much treesap m8."

Yes I know that, so I'ma use le blutac now.

Wow it really does work!

Exhibit 3: Wheels

All clay'd up!

Image

"But your car still looks sh*t and faded"

Orite m8 calm yourself. Bring on the wax! But before that can anyone help me with these problems?

How to/Where to replace these window trims?

Image

It's really worn and is making my windows go up and down a chore...

Hard-top trimming is coming off. To superglue or do something else?
Image

Image

Ok back to the story.

Image

Look at dat. LOOK @ it. So booty-full, strong difference between wax and no wax. Guess the previous owner didn't love the car.. sadlyf.

Image

Image

Image

So fricken shiny. And that fade.. ALL GONE, don't need a respray for the back! #winning@carlyf

Cousin passed me his tyre writing tool of life. Decided to go to town with it.

Image

Until this happened..

Image

And so she looked like this by the end of it!

Image

Got inside. Wiped down the windows, used the interior leather wipes as well.. Long day.. Time for some dinner.

Check in the events section under weekly meet. We normally hold it at The Garage Cafe but they have been shut down for a little while.

Got bored yesterday, another day bumming and poo'ing around.

Decided to tint (nightshade, huehehuehuehue) my indicators. I've wanted to do it for a while but had my finger up le butt too much.

No newspaper

Image

Shield over 9000 (yes newspaper)

Ninja blackgoodness

Image

Stealth bomber, time to chop some kents at the lights without them seeing me.

Image

She was a little dirty on the inside, decided to give her a hoover while the paint was drying on the indicators. Pictures of the after-clean :)

Image

Image

Image

I thought my car stank like faeces, too much flatualence. Went out to the local SCA and picked up this cutie patootie.

Image

Smells good too! And so I thought I'd put it in the most appropriate place where I can smell all them sweet aromas.

Why didn't you just take your lights out rather than mask up the front of your car. Looks good

I love seeing tired MX5s brought back to life - kudos!

I'd prefer to see the tyre lettering in white though - JMO.

- Keep on modding!

HAha  I'll be honest here. I don't know how to take off my front bumper. I had planned to take it off prior to respraying it. But my cousin and I couldn't find a way how to. Google showed us like 20 bajillion bolts and nuts. So we thought it would just be easier to spray the bumper and mask it up.

Again with the indicators I also did know how :( HAHAHA

Wow that is so sick! I'd be happy to invest in a new set of lights like your's. Seriously it looks SO clean :) Would these work on my rear number plate lights?

Thanks Lokiel! Means a lot. I hope my jokes are getting through to you guys too haha!

Yeah I had a white pen but it ran out and my cousin had a spare yellow one on hand. Also wanted to try something new :)

Yep I plan to keeping modding her. Such a fun car to drive, although I do find myself wanting more power at certain points in time ;)

Oh srs? Dayummm #2ez #3ez

In other news I think Misa is dying :(

I drove to my cousin's house last night for some kebabs for supper. She was losing power rapidly. I had to rev her SO hard just to keep her alive. Stumbling under 3 thousand RPM. Note: sounded like a boxer. Misfiring while idling..

I suspect either leads or spark plugs because I believe I've read about this problem before.. on some other thread(s) ?

Well, after reading a few-related threads.

Highest possibility is that the coil pack has cack'd it and just died on me..

Left Misa at my mechanical genius' over the weekend to let her heal up for some more adventure-time.
