Re: BEAVIS' White Track Car
Got myself some of that SFI45.1 roll bar padding that we're apparantly going to need at some point in the near future:
Of course, because some dork somewhere managed to convince CAMS that this stuff was a good thing to install, we're all forced to fit it.
I imported it from the USA, not going to give Revolution my cash...

Re: BEAVIS' White Track Car
The car had its debut drive at Philip Island last week. Was reasonably happy with a 1:54.7 given the day was rather soggy and I'm still getting used to the thing, and these tyres are so darn old.
Will be at Broadford again this weekend, I should be one of the quicker cars there.
I've bought a new set of tyres which will go on the car sometime in the near future....
Anyhoo, video from PI:

Re: BEAVIS' White Track Car
Great lap Really interesting seeing the difference between what your car does coming out of MG (T10) and my NC. I get snap oversteer if I go at it too hard, but then you do have a fair bit of down force.
A great car that should bring you a mountain of pleasure.

Re: BEAVIS' White Track Car
The car is very understeery due to the unique state of the tyres. Particularly through faster corners.
I did get oversteer at MG on the odd occasion, and given it is a slow tight corner, you would expect oversteer there if you pushed it.

Re: BEAVIS' White Track Car
Video from Broadford today.
I was the fastest MX-5 of the day, and the second fastest car overall.
The only car quicker was an Audi RS4 worth some $100,000 with a supercharger and 300awkw.

This must mean your MX5 is worth $100,001.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

Re: BEAVIS' White Track Car
I was at Winton on the weekend.
It's not my strongest track, I feel the corners are too long and understeery for my liking. And I don't go there much.
Nonetheless, I managed a 1:39... not bad for what is essentially standard running gear.

Re: BEAVIS' White Track Car
I find it hard to watch your driving, as I am trying to watch my car. You need a bit of aero now that the car has had it's shake down runs.

I have many minutes of footage behind your boring red car. I will provide it to you for a small fee.
Everyone has a Red NA6. You should paint yours a good colour, like purple with polka dots.

Re: BEAVIS' White Track Car
holy sh*t. If I put a racing seat in and removed my aircon, I'd have the NA version of your car, even the same colour. I have the same mods.

beavis="hejira"]mechanical mods not body/aero[/quote]
The body mods add minimal advantage to the rack speed of the car.
Is your NA running NB vvt motor?
