The level of comfort one derived from the seats varied, some like sheepskins others like leather. I'm very pleased with the new (used) ones. I like touring trips therefore sporty bucket seats are not ideal.

Wire wheels do look good but they are heavy and a real bugger to keep clean.

Consider bronze 6ULs (see http://www.mx5centre.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=80_81_87&products_id=279) or bronze Konigs instead (FLATOUT or WIDEOPEN, see http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Performance-Parts/Miata/Wheels-Tires/Wheels.html), they look great on a green car:

Thanks mate, appreciated. The one above looks good or full chrome is something I would consider too.

The Lenso wheels (15 inch) that came with the car when I bought it, is really very nice but I wouldn't mind another set if fund permits. Do you know if there are any interest for the OEM NB wheels? There seem to be stack loads of it at MX5 Plus. I can only assume that ether Richard is keep his stock up or they're not turning over. I'll have to get rid of a set before getting another.

My thread is unlikely to contain any new modifications. However it will contain pictures and hopefully video recording of my weekly outings with like-minded members.

Went for drive with the Brisbane chapter MX5 club on their monthly runs. Good bunch of people, very easy to relate to and did a great job organising the drive and venue for lunch after the drive.

Here are a few pictures of today's club run. Despite the weather, as many as 19 cars turned out for the run.
For the 19 cars we have

1 x red NA, 1 x silver NA, 1 x white NA
3 x green NB, 2 x gold NB, 2 x titanium silver NB, 1 x maroon NB, 1 x blue NB, 1 x silver NB
2 x red NC, 2 x silver NC, 1 x maroon NC & 1 x grey NC

Start of the run, traffic was heavy and slow going due to roadworks in progress.

I noticed you mentioned you wanted a wooden steering wheel.

There was actually an airbag compatible Nardi wooden wheel that came on some NBs (I think mostly Japanese ones)

It looks like this:

I'll see if I can find any for sale at the moment.

edit:
Unfortunately I could only find one, it was on Yahoo Japan and would have been around $400.
The few I've seen aound tend to sell for about $100 to $200 (depending on if they've still got the airbag, condition, etc)

Thanks hk, I prefer the ones with the alloy finished where the airbag unit seats.

I've given up on changing the steering wheel. There are other accessories to seek out.

I can understand why, the Nardi/motolita etc ones look amazing.

Unfortunately with airbags there's not much option. (well.... unless you choose to remove the airbag.... but that's rather silly in my opinion)

No new modifications but more trips.

I headed to Toowoomba to join the club on a day drive to Bunya Mountains and surrounds. Here are a few pictures of today's run.

On route to Toowoomba via Ipswich Motorway. Perfect weather.

Thanks Magpie, my experience with both chapters have been very good. All members are approachable if you make yourself known to them. The trip organiser did a fantastic job, the weather was great, the route was a thrill to drive on except a gravel section  but the temperature was too cold for me.

Had a great time on the return leg. Brian (in a red NA) lead the way through Kingaroy and onto Mt Glorious with me constantly observing the fuel gauge as it neared empty. Covered a total of 570km for the whole trip.

This makes me smile :) Missing owning her, but so glad she is getting used rather than sitting in the garage for weeks on end.

Keep enjoying it Kev05! I hope she continues to behave herself for you.

Thanks Baron. The car is going great apart from requiring to replace a few expensive mechanical components last week after it's first service since owning the car. At this stage, my plan is to keep the car for a few more years.

I assume that your hard earned dollars were spent at MX5 Plus :) It was also good to find out how you took so many photos onthe club runs without a passenger :)
