Re: My new NA Mx5 1990 - mint condition
Update:
I had Leon from Security in Motion install a car alarm with Microwave sensor. At the same time i had him install a boot release with the alarm! cheaper than buying an after market mx solution!
Forum member Yemin also dropped by to do a cut and polish using my Random Orbital. The Black SE turned responded really well to a mild cut and polish.

Now you need to buy sunglasses.
The cut/polish was exactly what my car needed. I would say it removed 90% of the swirls only the deeper ones are left. That will be for next paint correction session in a few months time. But the shine/depth of the paint is incredible.. Thanks..

Re: My new NA Mx5 1990 - mint condition
Gave the car wash over the weekend and dropped into Mx5 Mania to pick up a few items.
Tomb stone as the alarm installer inadvertently put a crack during the alarm install (got the cost of the part taken off the alarm install)
Leather gear shift and park brake boot - very nice.

Re: My new NA Mx5 1990 - mint condition
Update:
Not being a Daily drive, and with the summer approaching i thought i might address this with a few purchases recently.
First up was a HardTop stand. Found someone who made this locally, the other alternative as far as i could determine was to get something from the UK or Germany!
With the HardTop destined to be sitting on its new stand till sometime next year i also ordered a cover for it. This actually did come from Germany! (visible in the pic in grey)
Finally as its my weekend warrior i bit the bullet and got a custom made cover to Match the Civic. Fits absolutely like a glove and even has a little hole with a plastic grommet for the antennae to poke out of!

Re: My new NA Mx5 1990 - mint condition
UPDATE:
This arrived in the post yesterday.
I also managed to find in the UK a wrecker who was selling the original black cloth seat cover, second hand, but in great condition i plan to use the material to replace a small section of the drivers seat area that is showing some wear. Just need time during the work day to see a local Auto upholstery shop!
Also had the car serviced at Mania. I had the guys replace all of the fluids, advance the timing from 10 to 14 degrees and remove the aftermarket exhaust and replace it with an NA8 OE exhaust. XB12R (Darren) was the recipient and now the Mx is completely stock!
Other minor bits and pieces was that i replaced the crap Mazda front number plate bracket with the aluminium one from Mania. Much better. But no longer 100% stock?
Also recently ordered is a set of OEM Bilstien shocks got these from RSpeed during their Black Friday sale for $500Aud landed! which'll mean ill need to look at:
New set of OEM standard springs
bump stops and shock mounts - Fat Cat?
Would love to replace all the bushings but the labour cost is going to be prohibitive and i dont have the means to do it myself.

Correct! Right Hand side and I'm looking forward to it going in
@Marty085: I got the exhaust from Mania. Off an Na8 that had done 50,000k. It sounds sweet. They had 2 others a couple weeks back that had been around since September give them a call!

Hey mate.
Can you share where you bought the hardtop stand from? Pretty keen for one.
