Also, can someone tell me if this is the right part number for the TurboSmart BOV?

Also, will a cat back exhaust cause boost spike or fuel cut on these cars?

Not on its own.
PS Dont just do back from the cat - replace the cat with high flow, or 100cel race cat.
It makes all the difference.
You will see what i mean when you have a look at the size and density of oem cat.

I know it will. I'd like to do dump, front, Cat, and cat back. But I will do it slowly. The slower I do it, I won't notice how much money i'm spending. LOL

Any confirmation on the BOV part number?

Do you still have stock throttle body balloon?
If you get the FM SS Throttle body - then go for 34mm: TS-0203-1223
which will fit the 1 3/8s outlet.

The car is 100% stock at the moment.
I won't be changing the TB or turbo or anything like that. At most I'll be doing front pipe, catback, intake, EBC, BD bar, boost/oil temp gauge and oil cooler.
Saying that is the part number that I mentioned the right one?

Ok, so i've sent a couple of emails off regarding exhausts. There are a few things I want to do to this car to make it a little more fun.

I'm thinking FM downpipe, with Racing Beat muffler. It will be for the street, so don't want / need anything too crazy. Then i'll get an AEM intake and boost controller with either TS or Forge BOV/DV and then that will be all for now.

I'd recommend starting with an AEM CAI, it's cheap, easy to install and Flyin' Miata recommend it as the #1 upgrade: http://www.flyinmiata.com/tech/MSM_upgrades.php

GoMiata.com have them on sale now for $315: http://www.gomiata.com/aempein20ma.html
- but look around, you may find them even ceaper elsewhere.

I read on mita.net that AEM may have stopped production on these so it would be wise to get it now rather than later.

The PO had already installed the FM downpipe on my car and when I installed the AEM CAI, the difference in performance felt phenomenal, it was like driving a completely different car.

THREAD HIJCACK IN PROCESS

so basically the CAI is worth doing then...

I really dont want to spend money on anything.... at least not for 12 months, as i blew the budget to go for the SE over a std NB.

PS, going to do Tint next week and will get IPOD and Bluetooth (that intergrates into the MD/TAPE hole)

DEFINITELY - the CAI makes a huge difference and will keep you happy enough until you inevitably find yourself wanting even more power.

Just realised with a Greddy Profec B Spec II EBC I won't need a boost gauge. I have a new one lying at home that I forgot about! haha Sweet!
