wow...nice looking ride!!! love the new stance, try the old unpluging of the radio antenna if you've already changed your headunit (i can't stand mine pointing up higher than my car) + only use cd's aux cable neway! cya @ Marulan hopefully...see if i can keeep up! ;)
The Circuit Club day and the MX5 Club day just so happened to perfectly coincide with my uni mid semester break so I though I'd make the most of it. Circuit Club was on Saturday, spent the night in the exciting town of Goulburn before returning to Wakefield for the MX5 Club Day.
All that had changed with my car since my last track day in June were the frame rails I bought in a group buy (which have made a world of difference, would recommend to anyone).
Was hoping for 16's but I seem to have hit a wall though a lot sooner then expected. I was well off the pace of my PB all day despite the perfect weather, the best I could do was equal it in the last session. Finished up the day with a 1:17.22 and pretty depressed since all my mates seemed to be smashing out new PB's, including Mitch in his NA6 doing a couple of 14's.

Not really focused on me, just happened to be in what I thought were some cool shots lol.
Sunday was a new day, for the first time ever managed a decent sleep before a track day. The layout of the MX5 club day meant shorter sessions, about half as long.
First session out I managed a high 16, and second session did a couple more laps in the 16's with a best of a 1:16.64. All went down hill from there though lol, didn't go any faster and I wasn't very consistent, lots of 17's and 18's and only a handful of 16's.
To my surprise the 1:16.64 was leading my class (<85kw Modded 1600), right up until the very last session where two people just snuck ahead (1:16.44 won the class) .
Video of my best lap.
The cheap second hand R888's I've been using are nearly dead, one MAYBE two days left in them. Not sure if I'll get r-specs again straight away or go back to street tyres. I'm no where near being able to use the full potential of them, and as motivation Jeo/Joe was on RE001's yesterday and managed to smash his previous PB he set on his second hand set of semis.
And in case anyone was wondering, Ripple Strip>Enkei RPF1.
Still holds air and didn't feel any weird vibrations or anything so I assume its easily repairable. There used to be a guy in Thornleigh around the corner from me but he's no longer there. Anyone have any reccomendations?
Opp the my father factory is a father/son business who get outsourced wheel repair work from major retail companies, they are always busy so appear to do quality work. They are about to paint my wheels and roll-bar, i'll get a contact number for you to get a quote.
Located in Chipping Norton NSW, an option, if you find closer go with convenience.
nice work regardless on the lap times, interesting approach to the fishhook, might have to try it.

Chipping Norton's a bit far but wouldn't hurt to get a quote.
Cheers mate, when are you taking the SP out? Will have everything the NA6 was missing...power .
Maybe I should take my red na6 out for a drive?? It's been neglected as of lately plus I need to take the SP off the road for more work ;) good excuse for a switch.
Any time you are up for a drive, Nemo, please let me know, since I'm probably a few mins away. Up to OPH / PITS, wherever. Or show me your other favourite twisty roads.
Not much in the way of updates lately, busy with uni exams etc.
Did however get new mirrors to replace my old stock ones which weren't in the great shape.
They're M1028/Vitaloni. Was originally planning on painting them red, however after having them on the car for the last week not sure anymore, seems to work well with the black hard top imo. Opinions?
After being impressed by just the frame rails from the group buy, managed to source down a full butterfly brace. Have bought some other go fast bits, but no where near ready to go on the car yet so I'll keep it quiet for now.
