At the risk of telling you to suck eggs ... have you checked the plug leads? They might be old and giving higher than normal resistance causing a bad spark.

i'll give it a look, but i wouldnt have thought that would be the cause, as it only happens with after 3-4 mins of hard work, however, its a good point....its an easy fix so will check it out

Thanks S. we will have to catch up one day mate.
Cheers
The engine bay isnt a work of art im afraid.......havent cleaned it up as i want to yet, but we did change the air intake feed on Saturday
Before :

After :

Car is now almost ready for the next stage of modifications :
Paint and fit K.G. Works Duck tail spolier
Fit R Package rear lower spoiler
Fit Beatrush Diff brace
Fit FM Butterfly Brace (waiting on it to arrive in GB)
Fit Power Steering (ordered PS Kit awaiting delivery)
Remove Air con
Reroute top radiator outlet pipe
heat proof hard brake lines LHS (close to downpipe)
fabricate intake heat shield
Fit 550cc injectors
Weld in metalcat
Fit new 8.5mm leads and plugs
Retune @ 12psi
Once thats done, the only big ticket items will be Seats, Harnesses and low mounts....and a new Clutch / Fly combo.
I think the outcome should be a pretty good toy

Went to see Dale @ Castle Hill for a tune today...tuned with 550cc Injectors, and a new 200 CPI cat.
170rwkw @ 13psi (Well, 169.9rwkw to be precise
). Dyno Dynamics Shootout mode.
Feels every bit as fast as the old Laguna Turbo now

The main area that i beleive FCM has it over the Tein product is around ride quality and NVH. Performance at same spring level with a well set up Tein Monotube should be similar. I could have easily gone Mono Flex, and reckon they are still a great step up. FCMs are custom valved dampers with custom spring rates to suit my car. Modifications, driver weight, power level, tyre width, usage type are all taken into consideration when FCM build you a set of coilovers. Im not interesting in buggering around with damper settings and spring rates on an off the shelf kit, and i know these will last a long long time. They also give more tyre clearance on 15x9 due to smaller spring diameter (64mm spring vs 70mm). Just have a look at FCMs site to get an idea of how much work they put in to testing and development www.fatcatmotorsports.com

Lovely looking car, and by the sounds of it, it goes well too!
Having owned a white Clubman, I stillhave a real soft spot for them.
We turbo owners in Sydney should get together for a mass perve and drive!
