I, reckon the car looks better in real life than the pictures.

Some minor gutter rash, and some "gravel" rash from the kitty litter at Lakeside, have been repaired.
Shadow chrome was too expensive and dificult, so the Racing Harts are now Satin Black.
What do you think?

PS The tyres need dressing, and they do look a bit better in real life than the pics.

Looking good but i wonder what it would look like with the centercaps painted black except for the logo...

Well, MINX spent a few hours at C-N-J Motorsport today.
Unfortunately we couldnt finish what we started, so she will have to return once Kel gets some more info from Sth Africa.
Had some hassles dialing in the 'Unichip' with the factory boost solenoid. But never mind.
This is how she is running now. With more to come

Nice one Stu! 8) Did they do a power run before tweaking the maps to put a number to the improvement?

Cheers,
Danny

Nice numbers Stu, now where do you leave the keys when you're out on the boat . . . .  :P

I'll be gentle, honest I will . . . . :D
Went for a drive and there were slow cars everywhere, why are NC's so common . . . must be NC = Normally Cardiganed.

mmm its a bit higher than i expected.
They seem a reputable, well run work shop preparing heaps of REXs and Targa race cars so i expected their dyno to be accurate.
Even if it is a 'generous' dyno, i am still very happy with the figures.
Edit: Previous dyno run done last year at Gary Stewart's showed just under 200hp atw so this is about right.

Danny, that printout is with NO Unichip!
Kel spent about 4hrs on the car, he wanted to remove the MBC and use the Unichip EBC to control the factory solenoid to control boost. This caused him many a headache, and in the end beat him. So the chip was ripped out, MBC refitted and tuned and that print out was the result. The first run ran out @ 140kwatw, then he played with boost, he said, and got above result.

He has to get some more info from suppliers, and research how to use the solenoid and EBC.
We should then see safer AFRs (currently about 12), a 'little' more kw, and better response.
Also, the above has O2 modd disabled.(now re enabled).

They havent charged me a cent, which is amazing, but i am sure will sting me once we go ahead with the chipping in next couple of weeks.

Until then i have good bragging rights!

nice dyno numbers stu, just goes to show all the blabber about the small turbo holding the SE back is just that, blabber, as always, it ain't the size that matters, it's what you do with it

nice steep & steady power curve too, very good

the wheels..............damn, sorry mate, they just don't do a thing for that colour car in black :( ..........the original shadow chrome looked better to me.............& I WAS hoping you'd one up Tezza & polish 'em right up......Bling is King 8)

but hey, that's just my opinion, & I'm not a fan of black rims anyways :P

Thats ok Clive, I dont like Black NCs with blingy shiny windscreen surrounds!

Had a mate comment the other day, saw Minx across the car park, said she looked like a Drift Car.
Funnily enough, i took that as a compliment. Had it called worse things!
