So that flappy thing emits the light of the LEDs? I've never seen anything like it.

Fitted up the new (slightly used Lokiels) SE radiator, with genuine mazdaspeed cap!! Rad should be good for another few thousand ks before a more major upgrade for impending track days- sad foot note though, the dispicable duck head has decapitated again and alas is now lost forever somewhere on the Gold Coast highway...... :frown:

Lucky it didn't drop into the belts - you could have had a "Deadly Duck" projectile shot out "God knows where" from your engine bay.

The MSM OEM 2-port valve in that spot was reported on several occasions as causing problems when people replaced it with a MBC but left it in place because when the hoses were removed, all that was was holding it in place was its metal bracket, the attached hoses were providing some damping - when the bracket finally snapped due to engine vibration, it was left swinging from the attached harness (guys were leaving the harness attached to the valve to avoid the CEL error).

I used to advise people to remove it altogether and insert a resistor across the harness pins to prevent the CEL error.

Fortunately for me, much more brilliant mechanical minds than mine (i.e the brilliant Ben Simpson, has those issues well sorted for me, when he rigged it to pipe the cold rad water to feed in to the rear cylinders...... as for the Dispicable duck head, dare Id say he's well and truly a permanant fixture to the tarmac onthe Gold Coast hwy around Palm beach and definantly not embedded in the drive lines of the problem child!!

Sorry bruce, but a big duck bolted on the bonnet directly will look a little too weird unless I was towing a campervan........... Billy.......... over the years I have left many an imprint of several "duck screws" on various bonnets!!!!! :P     VIVA LA DISPICABLE DUCK :BROADY: :BROADY:
