Re: Maki, まき, マキ
I'm keen to drop by and see them next week, still need to decide on whether I will go with a clear coat which may darken the green just a few shades. Personally I am all for the bright fluro.
As far as google can tell me these will be the first set of true fluro green SSR MkIIs.
This is about as close as anyone has gone.

Specs! Shadow Run's old wheels? I reckon the red would suit the white car well, either way should look good mounted!

If you do go a green, paint it with glow in the dark paint...just to make them even more awesome!

Re: Maki, まき, マキ
Hey Alex,
Wow - what a thread!
A lesson in how to take a bad thing, a pitfall, or a mistake, and turn it into something positive.
Like you also, my MX5 ownership had a long lead-time, and like you it was thanks to other MX5 owners many of whom are in this group who fuelled my obsession!
I can only echo your sentiments from a few pages back regarding the above average quality of this community.
Of course, it needs to be said that it's the contribution (and the example set) by people such as yourself that really helps to set this place apart.
Loving the Targa updates!
Perhaps I can coax you into providing a brief overview of the experience thus far, for RoadsterLife?
Meanwhile, looking forward to seeing this very car up on the blog, and out on the road soon!

Re: Maki, まき, マキ
BAM..!

Also car is back, sanded, stripped, filled and set for paint.
Front bar is with John (fantastically helpful guy) at Berkeley Vale Smash Repairs, he is fitting my RB type 1 bar to the stock front bar for me. He is very confident and here's to hoping the front bar is back in the next week, just in time to be painted with the rest of the car. I have settled on the NC2 Crystal White and have 4ltrs sitting in the garage ready for application.
Next Saturday *HOPEFULLY* is paint day, then its timing belt and service and putting the car back together.
I'm searching for rails for my SPG at the moment and looking into some brackets on pitgarage.net that adapt side mount seats to stock rails. Anyone with any advice or hints on where to find sliding rails for side mounted seats or brackets etc, youir input would be greatly appreciated.

Alex, MX52NV might be able to get some.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Great work on the wheels, Alex. Envy green?
What difference is there in the NC white compared to the NA chalky white and the whiter NB white? Does it have pearl / metallic elements?
