Can do stickers :)

A small detachable shelf could be built (with wheels and an edge) that goes in above the battery, maybe next weekend. Need to find some round bar that fits into the square tube I'm using, very similar to what I did for the big trolley (jerry cans/tyres).

Was thinking about doing a basket that fits into the bottom of the trolley, but need to be careful about the balance, do not want heavy items in the basket. Also more than likely will put an edge on the top so that nothing rolls off.

I was thinking that the shelf would go on the opposite side to the battery, you need the battery-side to dangle your jumper leads (yours look big enough to jump-start an M1 Abrams tank let alone a humble MX5).

Those jumper leads were for show :) They were the closet so I grabbed them. Same as the air hose, it is only about 5m long, don't need anything longer. This stuff could go in the front and therefore make room for a shelf. Still I like the suggestion, could use something with decent magnets in to attach it.

Was thinking of a shelf above the battery to put a battery charger on.

All up it has cost about $100 to make (excluding the battery and compressor).

For the detachable shelf, I was thinking you could weld two horizontal short pipe sections to the frame, either on the outside or inside if you don't want them sticking out, then have two rods on the underside of the shelf that fit snugly into those pipes. You could then mount the shelf on either side of the trolley.

Sounds like a Sunday project :) I would rather be doing that than a uni assignment on tax law :(

Pit trolley worked well. Suggestions were to add a small air tank to run some air tools... It is a little high for the transport so may be cut and pins added for the top part.

QR does not have any noise monitoring, so using an iPhone app from the pit wall at QR an indicated 97dB was recorded, so it should pass the WTAC noise limits of 95dB at 30m. However Trackphotos has commented that the iPhone apps are only good to 100dB so may need to use a more 'professional' sound monitor. It is ALOT nosier inside the cab so may be putting in ear plug in future.

Car just had a check tune at GT Auto Garage... After a few hours of tweaks, mid range has been made better and it is now at 192 RWHP.

It is now having an alignment so should be ready for 02/10/16 general practice.

Thanks! Will find out next Sunday if it is any different.

Weighted the car (sans driver and sway bars connected), now to loose 195kg to make WTAC min weight, suggestions? Keep in mind the car still needs to be road legal as well and it has to come from the car not the driver!

Yep, with a leXan window. Then carbon doors with lexan plus bonnet and boot but then need to add a 6 point cage. Also complete rewire with a PDM.

195kg is an awful lot.
I'd be happy with 100kg loss.
This is the blue car, right?
Somehow I thought it would be lighter.

The only way you're going to lose 195 kgs is by taking the motor out!

Speed the WTAC regs lists the OEM weight for a NA6 as 940kg. A roll bar and hardtop do add some weight as does NB8B rotors.

May get a check weight at Morgan Park when out there next.
