Re: NitroDann's Long Awaited Garage Thread
A megasquirt 2.
It has your extra code on it.
I did all of the button pressing, while patrick the owner helped interperate the readouts because he was closer and could see better.
The tuner occassionally interjected to say he felt I was doing good or that I needed to try to get the AFRs more stable but 90% just operated the dyno.
It made 240rwhp first pull at 10psi with a base map.

Congrats Dann. Will be good to see what it can do at Wakefield with the new aero as well as the new turbo setup.
Agreed.
First test within the club will be SMP South, will be a good test of drivability and smoothness of tune, of course mid range torque will be tested also on corner exit.

Re: NitroDann's Long Awaited Garage Thread
Is this 324hp a world record with considerations of fuel used?
Great result obviously, especially for a 1.6. I'm just curious what a built 1.8 on a gt2560 would make running e85.
Hellmuns car returned 220ods rwkw on 98 Ron, I'm sure there is room to move with the increase from running e85.
Will Patrick only run the 85 or is it set up for both fuels with dual maps?

Re: NitroDann's Long Awaited Garage Thread
Realistically it doesnt prove anything because different day, different dyno, different wheels and tyres and final drive ratio etc.
However, it is the highest 2560 figure anyone has ever pulled out of any miata on the dyno.

Yeah understood and agreed, great result however.
Is he towing the car and running e85 full time though?

Its street registered and does occassionally get dríven on the road, however its not a grocery getter

Thankyou suspense, yes it makes over 300whp the whole time you have your foot off the clutch in a straight line.
The area under the curve is just amazing.

Re: NitroDann's Long Awaited Garage Thread
Correct, Not many are making a lot more but work is being done to regain a little low end, it was designed to make mid and top which it sure does but id like to regain some mid, even if just to learn, as it wont do anything on the track with power at 3k.

Looks like it needs a little smoothing towards the end, but a solid number either way dude.
Intersting to see boost limited to 22ish?
I was able to get a few more from mine but make slightly less power, I guess the pressure means not so much as the amount of air means...
What sort of TB is it running?

Re: NitroDann's Long Awaited Garage Thread
The highest pull wasnt the final run. The bit at the end was flattened which doesnt affect the peak HP area, but no other run made over 324rwhp.
There is a 4 page argument over at MT if you want to see people misunderstand what I said above.
It was smoothed at the end and ONLY 3500rpm onwards and 4psi onwards was tuned. Still needs a day on the road to finish it.
The less boost the better flowing the setup is, take this and put it on a 325rwhp N/A engine and do it at 0 PSI.
It has a completely 100% stock inlet side right down to the factory 55mm TB.
