good one! :lol: well the youngest said -she will take the lotus :roll: she arrives home from Sydney on Sunday and want to test drive it


after several days pulling it apart it's come pretty close to the end of that side of it. finally found a bit of rust and the reason for the re- spray - surface rust only - so it's now classed as totally rust free :lol:

don't know how this got there. I ran several litres of water through the water drain area of the soft top but didn't spot any leaks from the tubing. only other thought maybe a water/soft drink container spilt on one of the previous long distance inland trips and I knew nothing about it till too late and when I pulled the carpet.

today i gave it a good rub out with the 400 wet/dry sandpaper then hit it with the rust converter and waited an hour for it to do it's job - turns the effected metal black and finally primed it over and screwed it back in position

did a trial with a bit of primer a bit windy so I will hold off now till I set up the tarp booth :lol: and try again.

gun worked well - primed well - good windy conditions :lol: - all over next doors trees - I will give then a water later to hose off the o/s...so all go for serious spraying

you could be looking at the new colour - its from a 71 rt charger and called hemi orange. I had a 71 rt charger but a shity mustard coloured one :lol: although not that colour in todays prices :roll:
