Pic update, nothing everyone hasnt seen before. These things sound very naughty

Props go to Works Engineering for hooking me up with a great universal intake and very high quality silicone joiners to work with.

So with some goals in mind (an na6 in 1:0.....2's...?) the build commenced.

Getting close to the most serious gear Ive had the pleasure of designing and building.

Working out the most suitable spot for the electric water pump in massive serious turbo manifold land.

Image

Fabbing the collectors, these have a pretty low angle for maximum flow through the midrange and top end.
Image

Deciding where the turbo will sit, yep this spot looks like it will get us booked quick smart, it must be a good spot for power.
Image

This shot shows the collector and front 2 cylinders, also note the flipped and welded water outlet to facilitate the electric water pump.
Image

Heaps of room for a 4" dump pipe.
Image

Complete manifold off the car, this setup will fit a 500+ RWHP Borg Warner EFR, down the track, hopefully within 6 months or so.
Image

Watch this space for bulletproofing.
Finishing the welds then porting it, then off to get some good turbo studs.
Not steel, not stainless steel, but Inconel studs. Not 8mm either. 10mm Inconel studs with Stage 8 locking hardware, Resbonded to the manifold.

And then a layer of ceramic coating on the inside and 2 on the outside.

Should be enough to do the trick.

Oh and then Aero.. lots and lots of huge very serious aero.

Finish ETA, next weekend hopefully.

Awesome, I intend to break the NA6 GT2560 world record with this setup.

What are doing for the existing water pump housing? Just a plate to block off?

Water pump is in but had no blades on the pump.

It has a plate to feed the turbo where the old thermostat housing was, but it will be replaced with a welsh plug and fed from a different location.

Davies Craig ewp? How will you be controlling it? Pwm output? Or are you just going to run it flat out?

The muffler just arrived, this is the biggest magnaflow you can fit under an MX5.

Its just huge.

28 inches long, 5 inches tall and 11 inches wide.

I sure hope this is the right one and that it can actually fit, it sure wasnt cheap..

Could have the MegaSquirt control it if you need it to... Either PWM or just on/off
