So it took 5 hours yesterday afternoon, but finally it came off. Had to bust out the old dremel ninja skills to cut two of the studs, but all the manifold studs backed out fine, so all good there.

After using a Dremel to cut a rounded endlink nut off inside a wheel well in the middle of summer, I later bought a nut splitter for this job:


The Dremel took a long time but these splitters make short work of the task - so far I've not needed it on the car and only tested it on spare nuts but it's nice to have in the toolbox.

Yes, looked with envy, lust and cursing at a nut splitter, but the stupid manfold is so tight, you cannot even get it on. I ground down a ringy to almost nothing, but still not a sausage. That was the exact point the nunchucks and the dremel came out
