Slow down would you.

Haha! Like you can talk... :) Not sure how many road registered 1600 cars would have been quicker around P.I, if any? I think with good conditions and me getting the lap perfect a 1:56 is possible.

Looks alright out there too :)

Glad to hear you're impressed with the Weitec's Dann! I love my KWs, completely transformed the car & made it much more enjoyable to drive :)

We went up to Winton again last weekend for another thrash, unfortunately in my first session after a few laps the brake peddle suddenly went straight to the floor braking for a corner. Turns out of the (braided) brake lines had a slit in it. Unsurprisingly no replacements in NE Victoria so it was a pretty short day. It was a bit disappointing as the last few sections of the day were to be on the Winton Short track which is a favourite of mine but I've only had the chance to do one day in that configuration a few years ago.. Couldn't be too disappointed as amazingly this was the first time the car had broken at a track day in the 5 years I've ran it.

Video below is one of the laps before the car broke, the track was covered in oil and also rubber from a drift day the day before. Was still fun & the helmet cam was a cool shot:)

Nice work backing the car into the first boob.

It's time you got an NB8B and come join the sub 1:40 club. I am offering you entry. It is very exclusive.

Would be fun & a 1.8 is on the cards when I find the right doner car. For now the engine stills works and it doesn't hurt to learn how to extract everything out of an (especially) low powered car.

Thought I would update this as I've been a bit quiet...

Nearly upgraded the car to NA8B spec earlier this year but decided against it, probably for the best as I haven't done a track day in it so far this year.. Life goes on and hopefully I'll have time to enter an event in December.

Had time to do two part day motorkhana's though and drive some tracks in other cars after Motorsport related jobs

The one good thing about not regularly thrashing the car is that every time I go and drive it nothing needs fixing which is kind of nice. I have a little 206 GTI Pug which gets dríven every day and loaded up with gear - it's a great car, reliable, comfortable and fun to drive.

MX-5 highlight of the year had to be going over to the US for the launch of the ND MX-5 and also attending the 25th anniversary event at Laguna Seca. To describe it as an epic experience is an understatement.
