Yo

My old MX5 is featured in this month's issues of both Zoom and Fast Fours. Thought i'd throw up a few photos from the actual photoshoot which was a few months back. Enjoy...

Very nice NA6 mate. You have done a brilliant job, looks fantastic.
I loved the write-up in fast fours too I was stoked when I bought it and seen a boosted mx5 in there haha.
I really hope I can make mine (when I finally get one) similar to yours.

Are you running the AVO turbo kit or just bits and peices to make a custom kit? Was there much internal work needed to run the 9 psi safely?

Do you still have this car or did you end up selling it?

Awesome car, bit disappointed in the photos though - they could have picked a better location.

Will still try and pick up both mags 8)
It's more fun driving a slow car quickly than a quick car slowly.

Cheers mate. Yeah its pretty much a complete AVO kit (turbo, manifold, FMIC, piping) plus an aftermarket ECU, upgraded fuel system (injectors, rail, FPR, pump), upgraded ignition system (individual coils, leads, ignitor box), custom air intake etc...

Motor is internally standard, from my research i think they can run up to about 15psi pretty safely, depends how hard you drive them.

I was selling it but ended up swapping for an Evo 6, cause I thought that might be easier to sell. still got the Evo 6 though! I miss my MX5.

Sweet thats good news. If I go forced induction down the track I was going to use the AVO kit. Good to know they can run a decent amount of boost on stock internals too because the power level you achieved on just 9 psi will be plenty to keep me amused lol.
Id definately miss it if I owned then sold it haha its seriously one of my all time favourite MX5s, its perfect in my eyes.
