Long time no post.
Just been so busy, had to do a trip overseas as well.
Have got some crappy news anyway.
First off, Paul, yes it is a racing beat type 1 nose cone, good get. Purchased it off a member here who had a mariner blue na. So basically as of recent I've been driving around with a red and blue car.
Many have dubbed it the spider man car, or the captain america mobile haha.
I did a rough fit so nothings been aligned perfectly yet, it will have to be taken off to be resprayed anyway.
Onto the bad news.
My passenger side front and rear quarters have been keyed.
The rear one isn't too long but it is down to the metal. Yay.
The front guard however, they did a Sydney Art gallery number on that thing and it has a considerable dent on it too with a sharp point so I will assume it was kicked or beat in with some kind of object.
Moral of the story.
Never park in a quiet street in Liverpool.
I'm not angry as nothing surprises me anymore with the amount of duds that we have roaming around in Sydney, just disappointed.
With that said, a new front guard has been purchased and luckily they didn't do any further damage.
Onto some more sad news.
I will soon be departing with the Mx5.
It is the most favourite car I have ever owned or dríven, but unfortunately, my current lifestyle just doesn't permit owning a roadster or owning 2 cars for that matter.
So the car is now for sale as I'm making way for something with more room and a little more daily friendly. Fortunately the perfect car has popped up for sale so I won't be without a car for too long.
At the moment I don't have the time to get the panels matched and resprayed, so it might have to be sold in its current condition. Probably good for someone looking for something to work on anyway.
Anyone interested in the car feel free to let me know. Will happily answer any questions.
Dave.

Sorry to hear that you're planning on selling.
Hopefully it goes to someone who will look after it.
