What happened to that Marini mirror pic?

Vitaloni as fitted to the M2 is still top of my wishlist as it would seem to be a more functional yet good looking option, plus more aerodynamic and probably quieter in terms of buffeting.

Does anyone have them? Aftermarket (but still real Vitaloni) ones:

An interesting NA8 owner/racer blog from Japan. Interesting, sometimes totally original, bits on the car.

Vanity factory and it's not in the bathroom biz...

He fitted these but they are a VERY tight fit. You'll need to go to the blog for more detail. Interesting and different.

Hi again, I've not done much at all to the car recently, but have bought some gear and just need to get it on the car.

Thanks to the GB for frame rails and recent buys thanks to Rhys and to Yeav I have some bits to go on, I just need to set up a dodgy day for the small stuff and probably book into Mania for the bigger stuff.

At least this simple screwing/unscrewing job was within my capabilities.
I was unhappy about being able to screw this back in, until I found a few longer screws. Now it's fine.

Did anyone get to PITS this morning? The fuel lid took close to an hour, not the 15mins I expected, since I did it in the wrong order and the original screws wouldn't screw in. By which time it was well after 9AM.

Coming soon.
Not sure if I can mount these to the NA8 base, hence my chasing of the NA6 base.

Someone has posted a DIY on mounting these on the NA6 base and it looks like it works well. I've seen similar mounting on a 911, also using the OEM base. :) Sebring Mach 1.

Image

Some NA owners have fitted the M2 1028 version, repro Japanese versions and maybe even the DIY using OEM mounts. Anyone used NA8 bases?

Image

Image

I'd paint the base gloss black, so any NA6 base will do!

Thanks to Dino.

Does anyone have a set of old NA6 mirror bases? Mirrors don't matter!

Most of the XY GTs at PITS on Sunday had the tiny GTHO style mirrors, but they really are VERY small. I asked the owner of this car and he said the XY GT rearview mirror is great but the GTHO side mirrors are absolutely useless!

Since I put this on wassup's garage thread I'd better leave him alone and obsess on the M2 1028 here. :)

Since there's one for sale right now in Japan.
Anyone want a cheap and extremely rare M2 1028?
Modded as a race car - PLEASE PM! Hopefully it comes here!
Since it's set up already as a circuit racer, with hardcore porn race engine mods, it's worth a look!

It would be pretty hot to have a rare M2 1028 as your race car. :D

A genuine M2 1028 in white (translated link).

Anyone interested in the car?

Note that this auction car's look is a bit wrecked since the owner sold off the Vitaloni/M2 1028 mirrors! wtf?

I've not seen a white NA M2 1028 ID tag before, have you?

The translation's terrible but it seems to be heavily modded to be a circuit racer, with lots of internal engine mods as well as the Rx& FC3S 4 pot calipers and bigger rotors. Hence the wheel change.

Quite a package, so enjoy the read.
You might be better able to translate than me.

Interesting post here on a kit car forum.
Anyone here born in the 70s or before might have heard of the Purvis Eureka.

Same car as that, I think and this post compares a few options for putting in projector headlights. Something I'm keen to explore, too.

These are not going to fit, but I was thinking of whether they could be made to fit in our NAs.

Too big for this car, so waay too big for our car!

While the Integra lights may not fit, there's always the option of RX7 (FD?) lights, with a xenon projector retrofit, like this:

Nice, huh?

A novelty spotted on the Japan webs.

Get what is probably an eXXXtremely rare MX5 accessory.
Just don't think about the eXXXtremely inflated price. It indicates it's on heck of a buy, I guess... The Japlish text needs a better translation.
It's clear this is RARE!

Because you attached the fastener which is attached to the weather strip section to one time 1028, there is the soiling

As for the substance you think that entirely it is clean,
The rear screen the protective agent seems that something is painted

According to the place where you hear either 100 units are not made, it seems, because is, it is rare in that appearance

When if anything it probably is [korekutazuaitemu] from utility?

Here it is!

It might look like this.

This looks funny. Looks like a M2 1028.

Maybe this is helpful for people keen to do a bikini top (even a 2 piece top like this M2 1028 one) that utilises the BD or MX5+ roll bars.
