I know we're beating a dead horse now but ditto on long bolt method. Even though I had the Hayne's manual and downloaded instructions, my mechanic didnt even refer to them and just went by common sense upon close inspection

Anyone know of a hoist for hire in Sydney, would be good to know...

They are not very expensive really. I am planning on having a hoist for when my new shed goes up next year. A 2 post lift like a mechanic would use is only $2500-$3500.

If you do not have a workshop or the floor is not thick enough to support a hoist you can get something like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-6000Lb-2 ... 5893c2aff0
