AUZJDM Project Ruby
Hey Lads,
here is my Little Red 1998 MX5 NB AKA Ruby, I have only recently bought the car about 3 months ago and has on 80,000km's on the clock and was in very clean condition for its age and low Km's. The first mod sofar has been the restoration off a damaged hardtop picked up from MX5 Plus for $800, sofar have only spent $30 more in Araldyte and glue with some acrylic strips to patch it up to a stronger than factory finish.
Basic plans for the car is too go Red and Black theme for the mean time but I'am stilled kickin around at some 15x8 offset rims, its a pitty enkei don't make more aggressive offsets. I ordered my Brown Davis single roll bar from MX5 Centre today so hopefully should have it on the car by the weekend. It will be booked into the paint shop early next week to get a full respray in black on the hardtop and front window surrounds, very interested to see this!!. Having Lost my Liscence for 3 months gives me the added advantage off getting everything i want done without getting many K's up on the motor and not having too find time too get my car too the shop while I have work aswell.
Other plans for the moment are too sort out some BC racing Coilovers, front strut brace and rear stut braces with full sway bar and adjustable endlinks setup. I'am not sure what Look I'am after, Im just improving the handeling and cooling for the meantime, I do like the idea off the cold side fast forward superchargers, means I can run my own headers instead off worrying about wether or not they will fit under a charger. Will keep everyone posted. Cheers

Nice car! I always think the best colour on an NB is red.
Hey you gotta put something on to shine that interior so it looks as sporty as the exterior!!

Leave your worries in God's hands

Well its been a little while but after having difficulties with the brown davis roll bar not being up too my expectations my next stage was too send the car in for paint after i have got a new spec roll bar sorted out. I'am really pleased with the result sofar and i find the colour combo works really well. sorry for the bad pictures has been taken on my mobile phone in cloudy weather.

I eneded up getting the Rev9auto oem spec one, I was after a lip that could give me a flat bottom surface if I ever put a flat racing splitter on it.
