Got any photo's of the mca's? Did you go with the external canister for the rear? How heavy are they? Sorry for the barrage of questions, was looking at getting some, though i haven't decided if I really need them yet.
Cheers,

I'm sure you'll love the mca's, the harder you push them, the better they seem to get, especially on the rough stuff.

thanks very much!
Yeah, when I spoke to Murray about them and the difficulty of keeping rear travel, he said you would have to use an external canister. Would be very interested to hear you thought on them once you have given them a bit of a go. Haha, its hard to justify more then the car cost on suspension at times!
Are you running a fairly long rear spring? or is it just the photo? Also, did you get the top mounts or still using the stock ones? I know he uses some pretty bullet proof spherical bearings in them.
Cheers

It is, but when you hit that first big bump which experience tells you that normally it would throw the car way off line and into the nearest 100 yr old gum tree, but instead you amazingly seem to glide straight over it with perfect poise, then you are grateful that you did.
The clincher for me to put Murray's shocks in my rally car was when the guys running the Hyundai I30 in the ARC told me they had done 60 events without ever having to touch the shocks. For the number of events that I do, that is about 7-10 years worth of rallying for me so they would easily justify the cost of themselves over that time. Not to mention that if you have any problems, it just involves a trip up the coast.

Yeah, if i was rallying, it would be a non-thought. But my car is just going to be used for weekend sprints, hill climbs etc, and not as often as i would like! I doubt i would have the time to tweak the settings enough! I do like how murray provided tutes on how to maintain the suspension. That info in itself is worth quiet a lot.
Anyway, we'll see. There is a lot on the market; DMS, MCA, 949's AST's plus ohlins, bilstiens, tiens... the list goes on.

As much as I love the MCA's in my rally car, I agree that they are hard to justify in a daily/ weekender (hence why my MX5 has Konis). But if you don't need the travel that rally cars do, them maybe he can do non-canister ones to help save some dosh.
