Afternoon all Mighty Car Mods (youtube show) is doing a comparison of turbo vs supercharger on 2 separate NB8B's. They even reference NitroDan, as they use one of his low mount turbo manifolds.
search MCM on youtube and look at their latest episode. warning though, their videos become highly addictive.
Should be a good comparison, as all mods they are doing, like ecu's, injectors, suspension, and tyres are all identical on both vehicles. even the cars are only 4 months apart from factory.. though a tired motor hasn't been taken into account, but they are doing it from more of a drivers perspective of the difference. look forward to the future videos. Pete MCM FAN!
That looks suspiciously like Dann's dump pipe, too.

This and the older mcm 'how to turbo mx5' episodes should be watched by anyone considering forced induction.
Very cool these are aussie guys making the mx5/miata cool and less of a hair dressers in the car modding community.
I guess they are sponsored by Haltech (tuning fork), which is a pity as i'd like to see them solder a Megasquirt together.

Another thing these MX5s show is the increase in budget they've had. 2 NB8Bs with suspension, RPF1s and turbo and supercharger mods with ECU would have to run the best part of $30k.

They're probably cars owned by friends or fans of theirs. They've worked on Porsches before when lent to them by friends. They most certainly have had a budget increase, though. YouTube takes you seriously when you have 2mill subscribers

In the past it was always made clear when they were working on other people's cars. And YouTube CPM's have been getting worse for years so I'd say the money would be coming from sponsorships and maybe even the Discovery Channel TV deal.

Very true. It seems people don't want to pay for content and can't even sit through a 5 second ad before their favourite show starts. But I'm going off topic now.
Still haven't had time to watch the whole vid but I'm pumped that MCM are touching on an interesting topic as well as getting some MX-5's back on screen.

Is there a part two out yet? I ask as the video i watched only lasted 20 mins and no actual comparing yet.
