 Don't suppose anyone had a chat with these blokes about the fact that it's NOT a demolition derby?

Not really a good advertisemnet to get more people involved in the category.....................maybe they're looking for a group discount at the local panel beaters

Was it just coincidence that their garages were just about as far away from the rest of the MXes as you could get?

...proves that anyone can buy a race car and go racing. No need for any skill or ability.

Sure the 7 car was all over the shop, but I thought the young fella did quite well!

Forgive me for being naieve but isn't the mra the right place to learn race race craft? Or has this guy been doing this for a while and should know better by now?
I know I have been called up to the stewards at a supersprint for "racing an opponent, not the clock" surely at entry level race meets there has to be a little room for error as it will attract entry level racers.

Not picking sides or anything, but if I give someone an accidental tap in my debut (that's fast approaching) I'd hate to get a punch in the face over it. While there is a sheep station nearby I have no interest in racing for it, but don't want to go thru all the effort of preparing myself and my car for a leisurely cruise either.

I did one race last year with these guys and that was enough.

To be fair, there was a bit of overdriving going on, and not just in white cars. That said, punting other people out of the way is going way beyond overdriving.

If that was a CAMS meeting, I would expect the CoC to have a few strong words in a couple of ears. Anyone know if something like that happened on the day?

If you drove like this in the AKA, even in the beginner classes, you would be seeing black and white in a hurry. If the behaviour continued, you would find yourself buried in the sand trap for the pre-final and final.

They arent learning racecraft, they are driving well beyond their skill level, which anyone knows they are doing from the drivers seat and any idiot can see its not ok, id be pushing them back If I were out there.

Why does everyone have wings but no hardtops? Whats the point?

Race rules?

The wing on those cars with no hardtop would be for holding your stubby for after the race. Not good for anything else. If I was to race against these guys, I would make sure I was fast enough to qualify first and stay out front.
