By Sunday I was a bit more confident with the track and the guys around me which meant I could race a bit closer.
Unfortunately the footage from 2 of the races is over 10 minutes, so I can't load them straight on to Youtube. I'll need to do a bit more editing to get them up.
Stay tuned.
Paul.

Here's the combined 6 lap race which was held late Sunday morning.
38 car field
Yes, there were cars behind me, it's just that they got a bit of a shocking start, hence why no one passed me down the straight (for once)
Paul thats great footage. Looks like you had a busy weekend. A couple of the guys you were racing with were mates of my Dad's. Peter in the white NB and Laurie in the blue Nb. Looks like you had some fun with them. These two guys have both been racing historic cars for quite a while and have just got into the MX5's. They absolutly love them. They can't believe how good they are with such minimal work. They both run stock motors. A set of extractors and exhaust and K&N intake set-up. A set of Tein SS, some wheels and tyres, a cage, harness and seat and thats it. It was suprising how much difference a set of extractors, exhaust and cold air intake made. Paul i would put those as 1st to do on your list.
Cheers Brett

Thanks mate, I had a ball that weekend. It was definitely the closest racing I've ever had.
Yeah the poor old stock motor was just no match in a straight line for anything. The first things on the \"to do list\" are definitely extractors, exhaust system & cold air intake. I was hoping to get it done for the V8 round but the budget is pretty thin at the moment
