I was seeing how deep i could brake with the abs, it doesn't steer too well at the limit, just like non abs cars really. So it looped around. I was surprised that the nb8b with the later model motor and 6 speed is no faster than stephen downes stock nb8a, and his dad rob downs standard na8. I could only beat them under brakes.
And i wasn't happy with the amount of body roll with the stock front swaybar, it had too much over steer and spun the inside wheel too easy.

From what I can see (and please take this with a grain of salt since I've never tracked before):
- You're carrying more speed into the corner
- He's carrying more speed out of the corner
We know your brakes are better...
But is he delibrately braking earlier to get better speed out of the corners?
Are you both using the same tyres?

Re: video from sandown following stephen downes
Well it probably is a bit of that, but as i have tried a few different things, i felt the quickest way around was to rely on late braking. But it does make it hard to take a good line when the car is almost out of control. I have never really liked sandown. I will be at phillip island on the 2nd of next month. And use the same tyres and front swaybar as i had on the yellow na6. So it will be intersting to se how the lap times compare with the exact same mods from an na6 to an nb8b at the island. And i don't think my concentration was 100% as i had been up since 2:20am with kids keeping me awake, just the usual nightly non sleeping routine.

It's hard to know for sure when it is a bit hit and miss with that gopro camera. The last session it took a still photo.
