its a shame its got the "girls car" quote. When I told my friends I bought an mx5 they burst out laughing, but once I gave them a quick spin they loved it. It really is a great little car.

Grr!
I can think of a couple of MX5's here in Australia that the HP focused guy in the powder blue race suit needs to drive and he'd think differently... and mine isn't one of them.
One is a naturally aspirated NA with stupid figures in WA, and then there's a Grace Green NB8A in QLD.
I'm pretty sure he'd change his mind after those two!

Damn right:) My car now puts out even more power/torque. 176kw atw at 12psi and 381.5 NM of torque at 5250rpm. A few power mods, adjustments that will remain secret.
It may not have the power figures of BJones and a couple other MX5's in australia, but torque wise it will now rip your head off and spit at you...lol. .....with absolutely no lag. Next mod will probably be a high tech MOTEC as its impossible to get any traction in 1st and 2nd gear without launch control.
Mx5 definitely one of the best sportscars ever made. Value for money No 1 hands down.
