I wonder how the intercooler gets any air?

The radiator is angled back quite sharply to create a forward facing v shape out of itself and the intercooler. Provided you have somewhere for the air to go after the intercooler (giant bonnet vent typically), it works quite well as they both get cold air rather than the radiator just getting the alrready warmed air off the intercooler in a traditional front mount setup. There are a few good threads on cr.net about V-mount setups.

Or was that a comment as to where the air is meant to go after the intercooler, for which I have no answer.

Good question re air exit - even though he appears to have a bonnet vent top of bonnet, our passenger side.

The other MX5 I've seen with this runs more ducting and a Garage Vary bonnet - See http://www.triplezoom.com/gallery/gallery2.php?mode=album&album=/02%20Features%20Gallery/Chris%20Lee=1995%20Miata%20R#

It still gets air, the setup is v mounted.

Tthe postives, both the radiator and intercooler will receive air equally, shorter intercooler pipes= better response, the air that the radiator gets will be cool instead of hot, ie/ air goes past intercooler than radiator

It's more commonly seen in rx7s, which have cooling problems.

Probably the only con, is that it takes up much more space.

Nice car.

Brightly colored wheels seems to be "IN" at the moment.

Its running D2 suspension !!!! be a shame when they snap in half and the car hits the wall
