NA Eunos Electric Antenna Mast

Bought a replacement mast off Ebay for my car and it is too long- 260mm when collapsed. Several on Ebay are this size. My antenna looks genuine and is 180mm long. Is this unusual? Maybe the JDM antennas are different to the rest? Anyone else have the same problem? Thanks

Don't have the same problem - just measured an ADM 1993 NA8 original antenna unit & with the mast down it's in the vicinity of 260mm. Don't know if the JDM NA8 was different in this respect, but on the ADM NA8 the antenna unit sits just above the wheel arch, so from what you're saying either there is something else there or the wheel arch is different.

Weird problem. Can it be (gently) forced down further?
Worst case just send it back to seller (use the ebay guarantee to cover postage).

No it can't be forced down unfortunately. Got a refund from seller and was able to keep antenna anyway. Been looking into this and maybe the American model is like mine. Picture of mast looks right. Trying to find out if it is the correct one now.
