Bose 6 stack player issue

I just bought a 2006 MX5 and noticed the 6 stack won't work.
I pulled it apart and there were cds stuck in there. Managed to get 2 out but the 3rd would not budge.
Anyway, it now makes a noise for about 5 seconds when I turn the car on.
I don't want to put a new unit in but am hoping to find one second hand that will work.
Does anyone know where to source one? Or if one from a 2005 rx8 will work?
Cheers

you are better off looking for a NC2 onwards one
it has the 6 stacker but MP3 capability also.
The side triangle shaped trim pieces will need a very slight trim on the bottom corners but thats very easy to do.
other than that it will bolt straight up

The later NC 1 also has MP3. Mine has it and is a Sep 2007 build.

I am planning to replace my NC1 Bose unit with a good quality CarPlay unit just as soon as I get around to finding a quality double-DIN kit: any recommendations for a quality double DIN fascia are welcome as I've heard stories of poorly fitting after market fascias.
