My NA8 developed an engine miss on hard left hand corners. OBD code 3 directed me to CAS. Found the black (ground) wire at the plug pretty much broken thru (work hardened). Carried out a temporary solder repair.
Question...can the 4 crimps be removed from the CAS plug to do a proper repair? Any clues how?
Looks like replacement kits have push-in crimps.

Re: CAS plug repair
For the sake of clarity my plug problem is with the connection to the sensor hanging on the rear of the exhaust camshaft on BP engine.
Fingers crossed and many thanks

Re: CAS plug repair
I had numerous issues with cas plug. Replacement plugs work for a while then fail. I drove the car to Mania and they replaced the plug with a used oem and no problem since. Just food for thought.
