Was just wondering if anyone has any experience with Clearwater speakers?

More importantly in an NC

I'm looking at putting new speakers in but not sure if the high price can be justified.
The only reason I'm looking at them is due to the fact the NC came with Bose which runs 1 or 2 ohms and fitting standard speakers is not a quick and easy option.

Otherwise my other option is to get say a pair of Alpines or something decent but knowing me I'll quickly end up with a small Alpine amp and all as well.

You could look for some dual coil speakers, they are usually 4 ohms per coil which when wired in parallel are 2 ohms. That would be a good enough match in terms of impedance. I'm not sure what the frequency response of the Bose speakers is though, usually Bose have some strange EQ settings built into their amplifiers which may sound very different through linear speakers from other manufacturers. Worth a try though.
