Hi all from UK.
Anyone tell me why there's three wires coming from the wiring loom when there's only two coming from the heated window?
My 2003 Nevada (UK spec) doesn't have the connecting wiring, and I don't really want to spend £80 on one.
And thoughts?
Thanks.
Gary

Re: Heated rear window wiring
So any idea if it matters which of the two window wires get connected to the ground as well as a live?

Re: Heated rear window wiring
Checked a spare NB8 hardtop which has its demister pigtail in place - while the black & red wire & black & silver wire (in this case) plug into either end of the demister circuit on the rear window, the other end of the pigtail where it plugs into the vehicle loom, has three wires. The third wire (in this case) is white, but as the pigtail is wrapped in factory insulator it's connectivity isn't visible, but presumably the third wire merges with the other wire or wires within the pigtail. If you know someone with an NB8, or a caryard has an NB8, with a heated rear window then it's worth a look.

Re: Heated rear window wiring
Remembered I posted this a while back for someone with an 2000-2002 NB8B - might be enough info in it to work it out:
viewtopic.php?f=28&t=53804&p=678289
Alternatively, there might be enough info in the following wiring diagram to work it out: http://neomiata.com/garage/index.php?pa ... 1997-2000/
See the last two PDFs for 2000 Miata (US domestic market) wiring.

Re: Heated rear window wiring
Perfect, thanks v much. Found a wiring diagram for it and now I know where the ground attaches to. Cheers
