As the thread title says i have a 440d that im about to install and i have had it running with the internal MAP sensor (it runs with the VAF selected but when i put my foot on the gas peddle the rev's die and will stall.)

Im wanting to put some toyota cops i have here on the car. whats needed to make the swap?? i heard that if you do the swap you can loose you tacho. is this correct??

Mat

It's detailed many times on the adaptronic forum and here. I just got a spare ignitor and made a pnp harness. Set dwell at 3ms and yes I've lost Tacho. Not sure what I need to reinstate that. Wouldn't be hard though.

The tac cab be drĂven from the from the ignition side of things through the wiring harness or direct from the ecu. On my na8 if was actually getting both due to some wiring change . So I disconnected the tach signal from the ignition loom and made sure the tac was on the right pin of and let it go. If you keep driving the tach from the ignition then your tac will go crazy if you ever rev cut / drop an ignition output etc
