Hey all,

Installing my new MTX-L after my last one seemed to die.
Yeah fun.. NOT.

Anyways, my extractors bung for the O2 is at most 1/2" high.
Innovate recommend using a 1" bung and they provide it.

Would it be worth getting this installed in my Extractors or is there a easy way to just space it out that further 1/2 inch??

How much thread is on the wideband?

over an inch?

if so you could probably just put a half inch wide nut on it first, then screw it into the bung.

(note, may not work if it's a tapered thread)

Not a bad idea. :D

I will measure the thread and see if that will work.

Thanks!! :)

There isnt that much.

Just make a large washer out of alloy or copper. Drill a 19mm hole for the sensor and make the washer large, doesnt matter what shape it is. Just make it a big heatsink.

Thanks Dann.
The stock bung on the xforce headers is like 1/4".

As the thread count is quite low on the wideband sensor do you think I could just have the 1" bung cut down to say 3/4" and have that welded on the xforce bung to make it 1" long??

All Sorted.

Suli helped me out on a wet Saturday Morning.

Thanks Mate

The sensor is now almost flush with the piping.
Much happier.

... that guy kind of missed the point on the heatsink, needs to be spun 90* for it to be more effective (ie. allow air travelling under the car to cool the fins optimally)
