Na6 Headlight switch?

I've dug through the big forum and checked out the couple of threads that are on here but I've not found anybody with this problem yet...

91' NA6 First time for the day/night that I turn the headlights on with the stalk switch they wont Pop-up.

-Parkers come on and if I hit the dash switch they pop and turn on.
-After about 5 mins I can hit the dash switch again and they stay up/on and will work normally from the stalk switch for the rest of the day/night.
-Also if I turn them on with just the stalk switch and just wait after a couple of mins driving they will pop.
It's like the relay needs to warm up or something.

I'm going to pull the stalk switch apart and clean contacts this weekend and check the relays (if I can find them).

My question is have any of you had this problem also? Is there anything else I should be checking?

I had the exact same problem on my 91. I managed to get the headlamp retractor relay (B481-67-7C0B) from the wreckers and it solved the problem.

Rolley will you be at coffee on Saturday? If so PM me the parts that you may need (and the approx. location) you need and I will get them from the shell in the shed.
