For the past year or more i have run a MTX-L faultlessly on a MS2. It was wired sourcing power from a spare fuse and grounded on the MS2 GND pin via DB15. All was well.
I recently had Mania install a Adaptronic and Dave rewired the MTX-L into the cars harness and now i have a crazy Wideband sensor. It will appear to read correctly for a small amount of time, (but i think it is still wrong), then it starts getting erratic and pausing on certain ratios until eventually going to E8. I have contacted both Innovate and Adaptronic who suggested to buy a new sensor. This did not fix the issue.
Here is a video of the issue.
I have sent new emails to Adaptronic, Innovate & Mania and am awaiting responses but thought i might ask here.
I have turned off Closed Loop obviously as it was giving out stupid readings.
Could it be the way it has been wired or could the controller be dead fo some reason after the new install?
Any help much appreciated!!

Try tracing the wiring back and find out there the power and earth are coming from.
I had a chat to another Mania customer recently who has a similar issue with their MTX-L so it could be related to the way they have wired them up - though in his case I thought the sensor may have been toast.
Have you considered having Mania troubleshoot the problem?

E8 is the error you get while cranking isn't it?
If you've tried a new sensor I would heavily suspect the wiring.
On a side note how have you got the controller connected to the adaptronic. serial I hope?

Thanks for the quick responses guys!!!!!!
-I am getting Mania to try and help but while waiting but knew you guys always have the goods!!
-Yes it is connected via Serial.
-E9 is the cranking error. I get that now too since the new wiring.
It is very annoying. I have had so many issues since going Adaptronic which so far in no way has been Adaptronics fault.

Would be good to find out what is causing this, I've been experiencing this with my MTX-L and adaptronic stand alone

Did you have Mania install it?

Where is the power supply coming from and where is it grounded. Innovate recommend that the stereo supply/ground not be used.

I had its own power and had no issues. Mania have used the cars ecu harness which Innovate also suggest not to use.
Dave tells me Andy at Adaptronic told him to use the cars harness.

Nope. Installed it myself.
Working on the serial connection, no modifications to the stock harness with the NB8B stand alone.
Power for the MTX-L is taken off the back of the cigarette lighter.
Stereo ground should be irrelevant in this case as the MTX-L is talking high level using serial.

Mike was working fine for the better part of a year then suddenly I had the same issues you've described.
I'm guessing innovate recommend using a sensor signal ground for the negative since there isn't separate word for power ground/signal ground like on an LC-1.

I am wondering if our controllers have died somehow ?
Really annoying as Innovate and Adaptronic both recommended me to buy a new sensor which was a bit over $100. Probably should have just bought a complete new MTX-L.
I might uninstal it and rewire it in with its own 12 volt source and see if the same issue is there. Then it's pretty safe to say the controller is buggered.

Possibly. I actually have a new sensor too which I'll wire in sometime. Will post the results.

So new Sensor did not work.
I ended up buying a brand new MTX-L and all seems good now. Well 3 days of use and i have had no issues.
I believe Voltage went where it was not supposed to during the ECU installation and they blew the controllers heating circuit. I have read about this and when i asked Innovate they agreed with me.
Basically it would just keep heating until it went out of range.
