Hi,
I have installed a nb8a cluster in my nb8b.

Any help?

question begs ... WHY?
However, having "Googled" and also found no answer, I'd take a wild guess and suggest that your problem is a reverse of the issue to the earthing problem of an NB8B cluster in to an NB8A mod .....
I had to add an earth wire to get my high beam lamp to work, maybe yours is constantly earthed somehow?

Thanks kev that seems to make sense.
As to why well i installed some rev limiter faces a while back and me being a disabled mechanic all the readouts are way off. Got tired of it and picked up an nb8a cluster!

swapped the circuit boards over.
everything is as mazda intended. Success!
This also allows me to keep my old ODO.

Just a thought, but maybe place both clusters side by side and see if you can work out the variation in the circuitry to the high beam lamp that way. I couldn't find a clear enough image online of the NB8A cluster rear circuitry to check against the photo of the NB8B that I have on my laptop.
Good luck ...
