Stubby antenna - recommendations

Postby BRegs » Tue Jun 10, 2014 3:53 pm

Hi guys,

I want to fit a stubby antenna onto my NB8A - not a fan of the (overly) large electric antenna.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Ben

Mx5parts.uk

They have the stubby antenna, as well as the manual base you'll need if your aerial rial is currently electric
MY07 NC, Mazdaspeed Body, Ohlins, Full GWR Exhaust, 17x9 RPF1's, 4.1FGR and lots lots more

Cheers guys. Interested in a 'group buy' - how many people would we need?

Not sure if mx5 parts would do a group buy?
I have bought from them a couple of times, always quick and shipping is very good especially if you're buying small bits like antennas.

My solution is not listening to the radio, it stops the giant ariel from deploying and drivel coming out of the speakers.

Jokes aside though, I'd just go for it, remember that you don't have to pay VAT so look for the non-VAT prices.

That looks like a good option. A write up to install as well and about a third of the price from MX5Parts for a base and stubby antenna.

I would be interested in this GB.

I suggest that you work out the logistics of how this is done without a big hassle for someone. If you ship 10 items to one address the seller expects to be paid up front so that means the buyer shells out the money and when the goods arrive then they have to be repacked and resent to other addresses with another cost attached- i.e. time plays packaging . However if you can get the seller to give a reduced price to 10 people and ship and pay for them separately i.e. 10 transactions then everyone takes their responsibility. Assume also that Paypal is enabled and also consider that if a unit is faulty who does the negotiation etc for the faulty item- the single consignee or separate consignees- i.e. if the first option is done by the seller then they don't recognise the other persons. Good luck but I would also be taking a look at local sources.

I've asked Mania if they will do the group buy.

A red MX5 coming the other way must have RSI by now from all the waving he did.

No, they've brought some stubbies in the past and found them not very good.

Anyone interested in organising this?
