NC Cruise Control Fault ?

Postby aussie » Thu Apr 10, 2014 8:53 pm

HI,
I have 2006 auto NC and my crusie control only works
roughly 5% of the time.

All the buttons seem to work and tun off and on okay.

I have :
1-replaced the brake light switch ( which was faulty)
2-swapped the steering wheel for another one, to make
sure the buttons were not the problem .

None of which has fixed the this very annoying problem ?

Any ideas ?

Also where is the cruise control module located ?
Aussie :P

Guessing is not the go I am afraid- just do what almost everyone else does and go to an establishment that can check diagnose and repair the fault. If you have access to an OEM workshop manual ( refer recent thread) it might give some info.

Locate the fuses for the cruise control, disconnect the battery, remove the fuse/s (there may be more than one) re-connect the batery and then follow the requirements in your owners manual re; DSC, TCS, ABS etc . Drive the car for a day, you know on/off, start/stop etc. disconnect the battery, replace the fuses, re-connect the batery and then follow the requirements in your owners manual re; DSC, TCS, ABS etc again, test the Cruise control and if it is not functioning correctly consult an Auto electrician, as Mr M says an on-line diagnosis is a long call.
Good luck.
Greg.
P.S. There is a manual in here somewhere.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?
