Megasquirt to laptop

Hi Guys it's about three years since I last pluggedmy MS into a laptop and I can't remember the connection protocol. My old laptop has a 15 way d type for video in and a bunch of USB ports. I've got a 9 to 9 way cable, do I need to get a 9 to 15 pin converter so I can plug into the 15 way d type?....or what? any suggestions very welcomeImage

Usb to serial adapter is what you need.
