Hi,

As some of you may know, I've been developing updated ECU firmware for the Megasquirt2 range of ECUs.

If you own a MS2 (any version) you may wish to look at this latest release posted on MS2/Extra >> http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=46616

Amongst other things, it has a new MS3 style menu system for configuration, quite a few MS3 features for idle enhancement, air & barometer correction calculations, sensor noise cancelations, and a number of minor improvements in the code.

A full and comprehensive guide book is available in the post to assist with understanding the changes and applying the code to the ecu. Any questions, just ask...

Hey mate.

Thanks for the update.

Was just beginning to read the modguide and it says to not bother since my car hasn't be run yet on MS. What's the reason behind this? Just want to get loaded up and ready to setup when I have the engine back together :D

Mainly because it is hard to diagnose issues when the problem might be the tune and not the firmware. As I've modded the firmware, there is always some chance your issue is related to the firmware I've changed... If you get a reliable tune on an official 3.2.4 release then we know you'd be fine on this mod, or there is some bug in the mod. As there are 55 plus users using this mod an no issues so far, it is probably safe to jump to this first.

Even still, fact still remains, if you post on the forums asking for help, someone could say "hey don't run that mod, as it could be the issue" and that's a fair call.

Yeah?
