Hi, I'm back after a year or two without an MX5.. Have a 90 NA6 and have just replaced a cooked battery in it.
I have now checked the voltage at the batt terminals and it doesn't seem to go below 14.2V...
Dead regulator ?

Thats normal with engine running.
12v systems are 14.4v actually.

check the root cause ie go to an auto elect and get it diagnosed.
