Central Locking NB8A

Here i go again hahaha 
Anyway, purchased my NB8A without the central locking working. Previous owner said the motor was broken. Cant confirm this.
Where do i start in diagnosing and then fixing this issue?
The central locking doesnt work at all. Pressing '1' just disables the immoboliser. No other mechanical sounds. Doors dont get locked on either passenger or driver side.
